I am not sure if you noticed lately, but cheeseburger-themed items are popping up everywhere in Disney Parks. Previously at Pandora – The World of Avatar, with the Cheeseburger Steam Pods, to now the Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park. The food and beverage teams are getting really creative with their cheeseburger items, and I don’t mind at all. So lets take a look at two of the newer burger-flavored treats, and see if they are worthy to be added to your next Disney snacks must-do list.First up we have the Supernova Pizza at the newly re-themed Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park.
The Supernova Pizza is the first time I have ever eaten a pizza that was topped with everything that makes up a cheeseburger, including the pickles. You might think that cheeseburgers and pizzas combined could never taste good?
Wrong. This was probably one of the best tasting combinations I have ever tasted on a pizza, despite how it initially sounds. In order to obtain maximum ‘cheeseburgerness,’ the pizza is topped with ketchup, yellow mustard, traditional pizza sauce, american cheese, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, sliced up hamburger patties, house-made ‘secret sauce,’ and pickles. The crust is even a sesame seed crust to complete the burger theme.
The slice of pizza costs $8.49, and was originally advertised as only being available during Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Fest (April 13 – Sept 3). So if you have a trip planned soon to the Disneyland Resort, definitely consider adding this snack to your long list of Pixar Fest ‘must haves.’Up next are the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls from the Adventureland Egg Roll Wagon in the Magic Kingdom Park. These illustrious spring rolls are not exactly new and disappeared altogether from their first foray into Walt Disney World’s massive snacks arsenal, but have made their return bigger and better than ever for the Summer 2018 season.
The Cheeseburger Spring Rolls were quite an interesting snack, and were definitely packed full of flavor. Much like the Supernova Pizza, the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls have ketchup, yellow mustard, cheese, hamburger meat, and pickles. With each bite, you got the full cheeseburger flavor from the most unexpected vessel.
The spring rolls are $7.50 for two, and are great for sharing as well. For Disney Dining Plan fans, the spring rolls are not listed as an item you can use a snack credit on at the time of this article.
People looking to try these on their next Walt Disney World trip, keep in mind that the Egg Roll Wagon is typically a seasonally available location at the Magic Kingdom. So what do you think?
