Mickey Ice Cream Bars Now Available for Your Freezer at Home!

Yes, you read that correctly. You can now have a piece of the magic right at home, and in your freezer! Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars are my husband’s favorite park-treat, so I was thrilled to find that my local Ralph’s supermarket finally had them in stock.

But, the real question here is: do they live up to the hype?

The first thing I noticed was that they are a bit smaller than those that you’d find at a Disney park. Much smaller. I’m admittedly grateful for this because I can barely finish the ‘regular’ bar on my own. The chocolate coating is thick and maintains its satisfying snap even after leaving it out for a moment to let the inner-ice cream soften. You NEED to do this, or else the texture of the vanilla insides isn’t too pleasant. After a few minutes on my counter, perfect creaminess was achieved and I realized that these would be a permanent staple in our frozen-treat repertoire for as long as the stores kept them on the shelves.

They aren’t identical to the ice cream bars sold in the parks, but they do the trick. Some people love them, some people hate them—I think I’m right in the middle. They’re just ok. I recommend picking up a box, especially if you are feeling homesick for a Disney park trip.

In celebration of Mickey’s continued 90th birthday festivities, boxes of limited edition ice cream are now available at your local grocery store and Target. While the price may vary by city or state, you’ll find 6 bars packaged in plan wrappers within each box. Hurry to your nearest store before they’re gone and let us know what you think!
