Pop-Up Disney! Opens to the Public in Downtown Disney

Today the Pop-Up Disney! experience opened to the public at 4:00pm PST, and we had a chance to experience it early with Disney Parks Blog. We both had an amazing time while visiting, and agree the Sorcerer Mickey Room is definitely the best!

For those inquiring about the location in Downtown Disney, Pop-Up Disney! occupies the former location of the ESPN Zone. Upon entering the location, you check in at the big yellow desk, and are assigned a waiting card with a colored icon on it. The icon is your assigned group, and you are allowed to enter the experience after they call out your icon in the waiting area. This system definitely helps space out groups a bit, so lines never form too long for different photo opportunities throughout. There is also plenty to do in the waiting area, with Mickey-themed walls, furniture and rugs for additional photo fun.

The experience is split up into seven themed rooms.

Tickets start at $30 for weekdays, and $38 for certain evenings and weekends. The experience is open daily from 10:00am to 9:00pm, and the Pop-Up Disney! Retail Store is open daily from 10:00am to 11:00pm and doesn’t require a ticket. Tickets for the experience MUST be purchased in advance online, and cannot be purchased at the venue. You can print out your tickets at home or simply present them digitally from your phone when checking in.

The location is split into seven themed rooms about Mickey Mouse, each one with several different icon photo opportunities and photogenic backgrounds and walls. The location is great for families who want to get some excellent themed photos, or for those Instagram and social media addicts looking for that next great post.

So if you can, definitely check it out and get as creative as you can with all the hidden nooks and crannies throughout this experience. If you end up going, tag us in your photos on Instagram as we’d love to see what creative ones you all came up with.
