Today we came across a sight that we thought we’d never encounter again anytime in the near future: walls up near Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland. Over on the Tomorrowland side of the hub, there seems to be a delayed continuation of Project Stardust. The walls extend down towards Pixie Hollow, enclosing Some of the iconic rock work and landscaping.
We even hopped a ride on the Astro Orbiter to gain a better view. Nothing seems to be happening just yet.
We don’t want to speculate, but we’re hoping these walls are the sign of more than just pathway changes.
According to the OC Register: “Disneyland has begun the slow process of removing the colorful rocks that have decorated the entrance to Tomorrowland for more than two decades, according to Disney officials.”
Hopefully this will be a topic covered during next week’s D23 Expo.
