The merriest of seasons is shining bright at Knott’s Berry Farm again this year. From now through January 5th 2020, Merry Farm transforms the park into a wondrous winter wonderland to delight guests of all ages.
We were invited to experience the official first day of the holidays filled with live entertainment, holiday attractions, a Christmas Crafts village, lavish holiday decor, nightly snowfall…and of course, festive food. With so much to see and do, we’ve put together our thoughts in a guide for you.
A trip to Knott’s Berry Farm is not complete without our favorite beagle, Snoopy, and Merry Farm is not an exception. Not only can you meet Santa Snoopy, but you can enjoy a classic showing of “Merry Christmas, Snoopy!” complete with world-class ice skaters and the Peanuts Gang. To say that this show was excellent is an understatement, and it continues to dazzle crowds with its classic Christmas story inspired by A Charlie Brown Christmas. If you have kids or just deep feelings of nostalgia for Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, then this show will be a must-see for your visit to Merry Farm.
In addition to Merry Christmas, Snoopy, there is the new Home for the Holidays show on the main Calico stage, the Peanuts Guide to Christmas show on the Camp Snoopy stage, the dazzling Snow and Glow in Ghost Town, plus many more.
Snow and Glow is quite magical, and definitely gives all the Christmas “feels” you’d be looking for while visiting. This short but memorable show happens every hour until the park closes, and fills all of Ghost Town in a flurry of white snow, whimsical Christmas music, and dancing lights. We weren’t sure what to expect when we first experienced the show, but we definitely were not prepared for how incredible this experience was. You can’t help but enjoy it with childlike wonder.
Let’s not forget about all the delicious food available during the holiday season at Merry Farm. Knott’s Berry Farm has always been known for its delicious homemade food, and world-famous funnel cakes and this time of year is no different!
During Merry Farm there is a plethora of new treats and eats for you to enjoy, whether it’s a twist on a classic or some new versions of their traditional funnel cakes, there is something for everyone. We had a chance to sample bits of all the new eats, and our standout favorites were the White Christmas Pizza, Turkey Dinner Bites (all of Thanksgiving in one delicious ball of goodness), and the Christmas Cookie Dough Bites.
If it all sounds like too much to remember, Knott’s provides an Event Guide that showcases the shows, merchandise and food available during Merry Farm and where to find it all.
All in all we truly had quite the ‘merry’ time at Knott’s Merry Farm, and we can’t wait to go back again because there is still much more we need to experience. If you’re looking for a classic Christmas day to celebrate all the things that make the holidays special, definitely find yourself at Knott’s Merry Farm.
